CSRF remains relevant wherever browsers automatically attach ambient credentials such as cookies. Even with modern browser protections, state-changing endpoints still need explicit anti-CSRF controls and origin validation.

What should be logged for authorization investigations?

Log the subject, client, tenant, policy decision, timestamp, request ID, token event type, and relevant context such as IP or device metadata. Avoid logging raw tokens or sensitive secrets. Structured logs make correlation and incident response much faster.

How often should an authorization threat model be updated?

Update it whenever the auth flow changes, new clients are added, token formats change, policies expand, or an incident reveals a gap. At a minimum, review it on a regular security cadence and after every significant release.
